A blessed year!

January 17, 2010

Alhamdulillah..wa syukurillah…

It has been a year together! Sedar tak sedar dah setahun perkahwinan kami. Walaupun usia perkahwinan masih setahun jagung, terlalu byk suka duka pahit manis dikongsi bersama.

Anniversary: Perkataan yg selalu betul disebut semenjak 2 menjak ni. Hati terpanggil utk korek dari mana sebenarnya asal perkataan ni..

From wiki:

“An anniversary (from the Latin anniversarius, from the words for year (annual) and to turn (versus), meaning (re)turning yearly; known in English since c. 1230) is a day that commemorates and/or celebrates a past event that occurred on the same day of the year as the initial event.”

And… in Latin, mensis = month. So, for monthly recurrences, one might say mensiversary.

Happy 12th mensiversary Harith and Wardiah! =)

Teringin utk kami kongsi satu bahagian dari buku “Menjadi Pasangan Paling Berbahagia” karya Cahyadi Takariawan buat semua pasangan yg sedang melayari bahtera rumahtangga juga kpd sahabat2 yg bakal menaiki anak tangga kedua in the near future.

MENEMUKAN KESEDARAN BERSAMA

THE BEAUTIFUL MOMENTS

Moga perkahwinan ini mampu meraih

Hingga ke syurga abadi...

Change – Di Mana Titik Mula?

November 7, 2009

When we were driving down to KL a few years back, Dad said to me ‘Son, the only real constant in life is change!I have never forgotten that phrase. Thanks Dad.

Over the years,  i’ve come to evidently understand that change constantly happens everywhere. Apart from the genes, the landscapes and the other biological things that change, the change in human nature is what interests me most. I realized that friends can change to become unfriendlier, good people can become criminals, the cool can become the manic and the ugly can become the beautiful. Above all, I have come to the conclusion that human nature changes into one of the two: becoming better or getting worse. I don’t think that there is one person who is stagnantly the same even over the period of 48 hours. And what gets us worse is merely following  our desire (hawa) and following the guidance is really what improves us.

For the hopeful (which I’m sure you’re all are), persistently becoming better is definitely the way to go (to Jannah that is).  The big question is How to become better and What is the 1st step?

The How question is crystal-clearly answered by Allah in the Surah Al-Baqarah verse 138:

صِبۡغَةَ ٱللَّهِ‌ۖ وَمَنۡ أَحۡسَنُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ صِبۡغَةً۬‌ۖ وَنَحۡنُ لَهُ ۥ عَـٰبِدُونَ

Acuan Allah, dan siapakah yang lebih baik Acuannya selain Allah, dan kami, padaNya adalah hamba2Nya”

And for the What is the 1st step question, i’m proud to present Syeikh Suhaib Webb to answer it for us (credits again to Dr ZM):

How beautiful and well-organized Islam is, kan?

Only if the ummah were to appreciate it more and start shaping itself according to the acuan of Allah, rather than unrealizingly shaping the souls, and minds, and bodies according to whateva comes and simply sing Que Sera, Sera.

One day..inshaAllah..

Tough Enough

November 4, 2009

Hardship_by_demi2004

Exam periods are tough times. Really.

Not because it is the period when the clever is differentiated from the genius.

Or the Acers from the Average.

They are really the time to distinguish between the hopeful and the hopeless.

From Umar ibn Al-Khattab from the Prophet (PBUH) who said:

“If only you relied on Allah a true reliance, He would provide sustenance for you just as He does the birds: They fly out in the morning empty and return in the afternoon with full stomachs.”

(Ahmad, An-Nasaa’I, Ibn Majah, Al-Hakim and At-Tirmidhi who said: “Hassan sahih”)

It is the time when the people of perseverance are rewarded and quitters quit.

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “Whoever says (upon leaving his house):

بسم الله توكلت على الله ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله

‘Bismillah, tawakkaltu ‘alallah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah

(I begin in the Name of Allah; I trust in Allah; there is no altering of conditions but by the Power of Allah),’ it will be said to him: ‘You are guided, defended and protected.’ The devil will go far away from him.”

(Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidhi and An-Nasa‘i)

It is the key to tell between the people of iman, patience and tawakkal from the people of doubt, complaint and regret.

So dear brothers and sisters, dont despair and never lose hope..

Tough times never last, but tough people do..

…when the going gets tough, the tough gets going…

Selamat bermujahadah menuju Allah!!

Dunia..

November 4, 2009

Kata Ibnu Taimiyyah:

“Dunia itu ibarat sandalmu. Engkau hanya memerlukannya untuk mencapai tujuanmu. Tiada siapa yang begitu menyayangi sandalnya hingga ia tidak mahu bergerak menuju tujuannya.”

Akhirat itu matlamat. Dunia sekadar alat utk mencapai matlamat.

Heart, be tough!

November 2, 2009

Assalamualaikum wbt..

Hampir berakhir dh semester ni..sedar tak sedar, dh nk exam semula. Actually, genap satu smester umur baitussyifaonline ni. We started last sem sometime around before exam,  and here IT comes again…

Last few months was quite tough for us. You can tell by looking at how “istiqamah” we were in updating our beloved blog. ^_^. Sorry~

Sempena musim peperiksaan, just would like to share a quote by one of our consultants at Belmont:

He said:

“Medicine is not for the faint-hearted”

And we said:

“True. Well… life too.”

———————————–

Because Allah said:

And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sâbirun (the patient)

(2: 155)

AND

And surely, We shall try you till We test those who strive hard (for the Cause of Allâh) and As-Sabirun (the patient ones), and We shall test your facts.

(47:31)

Try hard and Be patient.

There is no easy way out.

Heart, be tough!

tough heart

Don’t despair and never lose hope . .
Cause ALLAH is always by your side
INSHA’ ALLAH

[2:155] And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sâbirun (the patient)

Jika Aku Jatuh Hati….

November 1, 2009

<Maryam:96>

Praying and will always pray. Thank you Allah.
